AECO – Association of Arctic Expedition Cruise Operators – is an international association for expedition cruise operators operating in the Arctic and others with interests in this industry. The association was founded in 2003 and has since become an important organization representing the concerns and views of arctic expedition cruise operators. AECO is dedicated to managing responsible, environmentally friendly and safe tourism in the Arctic and strive to set the highest possible operating standards.
Caribbean Shipping Association (CSA) was established in 1971 to facilitate development of an efficient, viable Caribbean shipping industry. Since then, the Association has become the voice of the region’s shipping industry and a major regional forum in which matters relevant to the growth and development of Caribbean shipping are discussed.
CSA membership includes 12 national shipping associations and over 100 individual member entities, including port authorities, terminal operators, shipping agents, shipping lines, tug and salvage companies, consultants, freight forwarders, leasing companies and others.

The Alaska Cruise Association (ACA) was formed in 2007 as a not-for-profit organization whose membership includes the major cruise tour companies operating in Alaska.The goal of the Alaska Cruise Association is to improve communications, build partnerships with local businesses and work with civic leaders to expand economic benefits to communities. The organization is based in Anchorage, Alaska, and is led by ACA president and former state senator John Binkley.
CLIA was originally formed in 1975 in North America and the Australasia chapter evolved in 1996 trading as the International Cruise Council Australasia. The genesis of CLIA was in response to a need for an association to promote the special benefits of cruising and in 2006 merged with the International Council of Cruise Lines (ICCL), a sister entity created in 1990 dedicated to participating in the regulatory and policy development process of the cruise industry.
CLIA Europe is an independent, not for profit trade association funded by annual subscriptions from cruise line members and associate members.
The strategic direction of CLIA Europe is provided by the Board which comprises all cruise line members and which meets twice a year, while the Executive Committee provides high level management input into the day to day running of the association.

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) is the world’s largest cruise industry trade association with representation in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australasia. The Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) is a not-for-profit trade organization composed of 15 Member Cruise Lines operating more than 100 vessels in Floridian, Caribbean and Latin American waters. SNAME encourages the exchange and recording of information, sponsors applied research, offers career guidance, supports education, and enhances the professional status and integrity of its membership.
Back in 1993, a group of sales professionals from some of the most pro-active and respected independent travel agencies in the UK met to discuss the future of cruising. Aware, not only of the continuing growth in popularity of cruising in the UK, but also of the increasing competition they faced, together with customer demand for greater professionalism amongst cruise agencies, they created the Guild of Professional Cruise Agents.
An association of specialist cruise agents, dedicated to improving standards of professionalism within its membership, and to expanding consumer awareness of the quality and value of a cruise holiday, the fledgling Guild very quickly grew in Membership, attracting the attention of more and more cruise specialists, and the cruise lines themselves.
In 2001 the Guild changed its public name to The Leading Cruise Agents of the UK and we’re now known best as the LCA.
