This year the Spanish ports have the goal of establishing a new record for cruise traffic.  Initial estimates made known at the international tourism fair Fitur, indicate that in 2015 will be 8.1 million cruise passengers who arrive in 46 Spanish ports managed by the Port Authority 28 national.
This year should be instead broken the previous record of 7,997,893 cruise passengers established in 2011.
During the exhibition was shown that industry experts agree that the cruise tourism in Spain will continue to increase in the coming years and that are multiple strategies to promote this development. All, however, have to see the involvement of all stakeholders, ie municipalities, tourism organizations, autonomous regions and other associations and institutions, to promote their destinations with offers that give priority to cultural tourism, gastronomy and entertainment. In addition, the offer must be extended to all the seasons to ensure that cruise tourism, generally linked to climatic factors, develops throughout the year
